CROWDLOC Lite 

CROWDLOC Lite locates your Bluetooth® devices against loss and theft:  smartwatch, fitness bracelet, portable speaker, headphone, computer mouse, handsfree kit, camera, hearing aid, TV, etc.  

The CROWDLOC Lite app allows you to:

* Geo-locate Bluetooth devices on a map or via a proximity radar

* Declare a lost device

* Declare a stolen device

* Share the location of a Bluetooth device with another member of the CROWDLOC community

The power of the CROWDLOC Community

Whenever a CROWDLOC Lite user, or a partner application (integrating our technology), is within range of the signal from one your Bluetooth devices, its location is transmitted confidentially and securely to the CROWDLOC platform and made available to you in your CROWDLOC Lite application. In the same way, your smartphone participates in the community and helps other members find their lost Bluetooth devices.

By introducing CROWDLOC Lite to your family and friends, you develop the CROWDLOC community and increase your chances of finding your Bluetooth devices.  

The CROWDLOC community is spreading progressively in French cities: Versailles (June 2018), Paris (October 2018), Bordeaux (November 2018). Other cities will be announced soon.

Optimized for smartphones

To work, the application requires the use of Bluetooth® and geolocation. CROWDLOC Lite has been optimized to have a negligible impact on your phone's battery.

Compatibility with Bluetooth® devices

CROWDLOC Lite allows you to register almost any Bluetooth® devices. Nevertheless, the ability to track them permanently depends on how they were set by their manufacturer.

On one hand, the range of Bluetooth® is specific to each device. Some manufacturers of Bluetooth® objects have limited the range of the signal to fifteen meters, other Bluetooth® products broadcast their signal at a hundred meters, which improves the ability of our community to find them.

On the other hand, some devices communicate constantly in Bluetooth®, others limit these signals to certain phases of use. CROWDLOC Lite can only track your device when it broadcasts a Bluetooth® signal and a smartphone from the community is within range of that signal.

Compatible devices

The compatibility of CROWDLOC Lite (Android) has been tested specifically with the watches and fitness wristbands of Garmin (Garmin Vivoactive 3, Garmin Fenix 5x, Vivomove HR), fitness bands from Fitbit (Alta HR, Flex),  fitness band from Xiaomi (Mi Band 2), watches and fitness bands from MyKronoz (ZeCircle), fitness bands from L8star, Bluetooth® speakers such as Urban Ears Boom 2, Wirezoll WS1, B&O PLAY A1, Phantom from Devialet, as well as Bluetooth® key chains from Gigaset Keeper, nut and iTag, and Nikon cameras (Bluetooth® models).
